Trango Hyper Harpoon

The Hyper Harpoon is a serious upgrade to our extremely popular Harpoon. We?ve curved the frame members to match the left/right profiles of your feet, closely aligning the points to the edge of your boots for precise control. The radiused front point platform hugs ice bubbles and ridges and the low relief middle section won?t leave you feeling tippy when you?re standing mid-foot on small mushrooms.

With the dual-points installed the Hyper is ideal for climbing rotten and hollow ice or moving over varied terrain when you never know what to expect. The forged points have a ?T? profile so they resist shearing through soft ice and they?re completely flex-free. The asymmetric mono-point setup (included) is what you want, though, for dry-tooling or when the ice is steep and bomber. We?ve offset the mono-point so it sits under your big toe for power and control. When your feet are splayed out slightly the inside secondary points engage, giving you the all stability of a dual-point setup but when you kick straight in the monos come to life giving you the mobility and precision you need for super-technical climbing.
