kcal for this meal is 351 which is one of the lower energy meals in their range, yet it's a breakfast one so should probably contain more energy. With this as a breakfast and 2 other single serve meals through the day you're only taking in around 1200 kcal, when typically you need 2000-2500 kcal (or maybe 3500 if you're hiking). That means making up another 800-2300 kcal per day in trail mix or sugary drinks, etc.
Or it means carrying twice the amount of Back Country food packs so you can have 2 serves at every meal, plus trail mix...
So it does what it says, but is a bit disappointing with a description of "single serve" when it perhaps means "half single serve"
