About Opinel:

The Opinel Knife, crafted high in the French Alps, famous and virtually unchanged since 1890. With a classic and unique design, these French Country Knives all have a natural Wood Handle.

The Opinel Knife - traditional, convenient and multi-purpose Farmer’s Knife.

Product Description:

The "Azimut" model revisits mountain cartography, picking up on the contours of the Aiguilles d'Arves, the birthplace of Opinel.

This Limited Edition pocket knife was created by "Les Aiguilles de Djé", the tattoo artist whose signature features on the entire Escapade collection.

The handle of the knife features the topographical profile and contour lines of the Aiguilles d'Arves, the mountain range that looms above the village from which the Opinel knife originated.

The decorative work covers the entire silhouette of the knife and adds a sophisticated finish, making splendid use of the light colour of the handle.

The stainless steel blade is treated with a black coating and is itself also decorated with graphic elements that match those found on the handle.

The black colour of the blade and safety ring reinforce the contrasting finish of this pocket knife, which is a genuine feast for the eyes.

There are only 7,600 copies of this pocket knife in the world, making it an exceptional piece.

It comes in a cardboard box with instructions. The blade is numbered.

The double Virobloc Safety Ring was created by Marcel Opinel in 1955 and locks the Blade either in open or closed Position. Cut out of stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade closed (safety in transport).

The Sandvik 12C27M Stainless Steel is capable of undergoing the heat treatment that gives it its good hardness is called martensitic. It has a carbon content of at least 0.40%, giving it a good cutting edge and an excellent resistance to corrosion.
