This is the best open type stove for ourdoor use.
I have timed it compared to others.
It could be futher developed to be slightly lighter and more compact.
Boil 2 cups of water in under 2-1/2 minutes in strong winds and gusty weather. This well-made stove is able to stand up to harsh conditions.
The Soto WindMaster stove is designed so the pot sits close to the flame, making it more efficient in windy weather. Results in increased efficiency so boil time is quicker and longer. The concave design of the burner head creates the effect of a built-in windscreen. The 4Flex pot support works for a larger pot, but the smaller, TriFlex pot support, is available separately. An efficient stove for whatever size pot your adventure requires.
*NOTE: The WindMaster OD-1RXN which comes with only the 4Flex pot support replaces the previous WindMaster OD-1RXC that came with both the TriFlex and the 4Flex. The stove itself remains exactly the same.
The WindMaster uses the Micro Regulator valve system.

It's a beast.
Replaced my generic Jetboil ($60 @ kmart / $130 @ H&F) with this due to poor cold weather boil time with my current setup.
By comparison this boils 500ml in under 4min vs 10min or so in my generic Jetboil.
Excellent cold weather and windy performance.
Only issue is in cold weather it seems to use more gas I camped out 2 nights and ran out of gas in 100g cannister after 1 night 😬 so performance comes at higher gas usage or so it seems.
Folds up and fits inside my 750ml pot.
Pot stand (included) easy to fit.
The flame goes Big so might be faster with pot with larger diameter as my 750ml is small flame goes out sides.
Overall I love it,ifs a mean hear machine.

Pretty good price - performance with this stove.
PROS
Lightweight
Can simmer
Works well in light winds
Can heat 500ml of water in a Toaks 900ml wide pot in 2 minutes.
CONS
Having to attach the pot support every time is a minor annoyance.
A good fuel efficient cooker, quick to the boil, and lightweight.
The only fault is some of the metal edges are a bit sharp, but they are easily tidied up.
Don't like the fact you have to assemble the pot support onto the stove (unlike the MSR Pocket Rocket which has the pot supports as an integral part of the design).
Don't like the large number of turns on the control to get the gas flowing.
Do like the inbuilt stove lighter and great heat output.
Not sure about the Soto's 2 rubber O-rings which will have to be renewed at some stage as no mention of the sizes of these in the instruction pamphlet.
