Description

A hyperstatic and highly durable 9 mm rope for those looking for a rope that can handle more than just one trip.

The sheath is made from highly cut- and abrasion-resistant Aramid with UV coating and UHMPE fibers, combined with a lightweight core. This construction provides an excellent balance of durability, strength, and low weight.

The rope floats and is lightweight, while its thick sheath provides excellent durability for its diameter.

The bright color makes the rope highly visible, even in challenging conditions.

Features

9 mm Rope – Engineered for Long Durability and Excellent Handling

This hyperstatic, highly durable rope combines advanced materials and construction, making it ideal for demanding canyons and expeditions where weight, strength, and reliability are critical.

High-Tech Materials for Maximum Performance

The sheath features highly cut- and abrasion-resistant Aramid (Kevlar) and UHMPE fibers, while the lightweight polypropylene core keeps the rope's weight down to just 44.5 g/m.

This makes it particularly well suited to long approaches and canyons with sharp rocks.

Shield-Braid Technology for Ultimate Durability

The innovative Shield-Braid sheath construction provides exceptional durability and smooth handling. The finely braided sheath offers comfortable handling while enhancing the rope's durability for long-lasting performance.

Despite its 9 mm diameter, the rope handles extremely well and provides excellent control. It is fully compatible with standard ascending and descending devices.

As a hyperstatic rope, it has virtually no stretch and is not suitable for dynamic loads or fall arrest. It is designed for applications such as abseiling, hauling, fixed lines, and technical rigging.

The rope is CE marked and meets the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/425 on personal protective equipment.

The rope is tested according to EN 1891 Type B.*

Rope Shrinkage

During use, the rope may shorten due to fibre and construction shrinkage. A reduction in overall length should therefore be expected.

Our ropes generally shrink less than most, but there is currently no standardized test for rope shrinkage during use. The amount of shrinkage will vary depending on how the rope is used.

Allow for up to 8% length reduction over time.

To account for this, we supply the rope 0.5–1 m longer than the stated length, measured using our calibrated digital measurement equipment.

Swiss Made

Proudly developed and manufactured in Switzerland.

Important Note

This rope is not recommended for dry canyons when used in dry conditions due to the Dyneema (UHMPE) fibers in the rope sheath.

However, testing has shown that abseils of up to 50 m on a dry rope, using a standard-sized figure-8 type device, will not damage the rope fibers due to heat generated by friction from the abseil device.
