Description

G-Zero is a very light ice axe for classical alpinism that still has all the characteristics of a Grivel ice axe.
One piece head that provides maximum strength and minimal weight.
The pick is Classical neutral with ergonomic design that remains comfortable after hours and hours of climbing. The brand new insulating removable ergonomic blade cover lets the user firmly grip the axe by the head without risk of injury. It also protects the hand from contact with cold metal especially in low temperatures and high altitudes expeditions.

The perfect tool to discover the mountains with added safety and comfort.

    Lightweight and strong ice axe

I use various types of ice axes but the Grivel ice axe is my favourite because of its convenient light weight and I like the yellow covering on the axe. It makes the axe easier to hold in freezing conditions and easy to find when dropped. Although the latter rarely occurs as the tether works extremely well. Carabiners can be easily attached to the axe making it easier to use as a snow anchor. Great piece of equipment.

Leading brand - awesome value for $

Really happy with this entry level ice axe - quality not compromised, like the cover over the axe to avoid frosty fingers!

    Nelson Lakes

It was good to have this with us as we walked to Angelus Hut. Snow was deep and the ground disappeared out of view so good to have this for safety! Light too. Had to use as a walking pole as well as one of my walking poles snapped!

    Ice Axe

Good quality and helpful for our weekend in the Nelson Lakes walking to Angelus Hut. Lightweight. Thankfully didn’t have to use to stop me slip downhill (which was good cos it was challenging terrain with the snow, rain and wind added)!

    Great Value Tool

Light. Cheap. Does its job. Even the weird plastic hand bit turns out to be a good idea.
